Advocating the traditional virtue of helping the poor and encouraging the philanthropic endeavor in the county, the Qingshuihe County conducted a selection campaign “Social Caring Award” to honor companies, units and individuals which/who are outstanding in charitable contributions. There were 11 companies and 11 individuals awarded the Social Caring honor on April 15.
The selection is conducted on a yearly basis. This year, the 11 units including Xinhua Sports & Entertainment Limited, Hohehot Victory Commercial Group Corporation, Shandong Dadi Group, San Lian Chemical Co., Ltd, Inner Mongolia Mengxi Cement Co., Ltd, Xin Tian Fang Cement Co., Ltd etc, as well as 11 individuals such as Wu Handing, He Guangzhong, Ma Henbiao, Jia Zhiwei etc. were awarded.

Kevin Spacey has signed up to star in Chinese-American director Dayyan Eng's black comedy, Inseparable. Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu and Chinese actress Beibi Gong are already attached to the project. It is due to begin production in southern China this month. Inseparable is being produced by David U. Lee of Xinhua Media Entertainment (XME), a majority owned subsidiary of XSEL, and Eng through Colordance Pictures.

When Kevin Spacey lands in China in late Jan. to star in writer-director Dayyan Eng's black comedy "Inseparable," he'll become the biggest Hollywood actor to work in a feature film nearly fully-financed by a local Chinese backer. David Lee, managing director of Xinhua Media Entertainment, the Beijing-based company working with Eng's Colordance Pictures, will be the producer. XME also helped to bring to China Jackie Chan's "The Spy Next Door" -- for nationwide release Jan. 15 -- and "More Than a Game," starring LeBron James, set to release in April. Kevin Spacey will scale the Great Wall of Chinese film production. The multihyphenate has signed on to star in director Dayyan Eng's black comedy "Inseparable." Spacey's involvement makes him the highest-profile Hollywood actor to ever star in a Chinese production. The film, which will be shot in Mandarin and English, centers on a young man (Daniel Wu) with problems at home and work who is befriended by a mysterious American expat (Spacey). Beibi Gong also stars as the investigative-reporter wife of Wu's character. The film is being produced by David U. Lee of Xinhua Media Ent.
